Return to Running
What with all the other things I've been up to lately, I've forgoten to get back into running. That changed last night.
I took it very slow, and headed down around the park on Stearns and Los Angeles Ave. The park itself was beautiful, with soccer and baseball games going on, and a yoga class just finishing up under a stand of trees.
I trotted past the parks and rec. building, and found an empty soccer field to play on. Remembering my agility issues the other night, I paused to do some jumping and sprinting excercises.
Another lap around the park and back to the soccer field for more jumping and sprinting, then a slow jog home again, and plenty of stretching.
I got a little hungry after dinner, and grabbed some wheat crackers and peanut butter to snack on. As luck would have it, a bag of chocolate chips also appeared, and I found that the three ingredients make a very satisfying desert. Probably just as many calories as cookies, but considerably more nutritious. (I'm haven't actually done the math on this, but I'm betting that crackers and peanut butter are better for me than cookie dough.)
