Weekend Wrapup
Spent Saturday afternoon at Six Flags Magic Mountain riding the coasters. Tatsu is fantastic, and Batman, Goliath, and Riddler's Revenge still deliver the thrills. Unfortunately, X was closed, so we had to be content with another go-round on Tatsu before heading home for the night. We'd planned to stay well into the evening, but the park closes at 8pm or something nowadays. So despite an exciting afternoon, it was an early night for both of us. I'd been up late babysitting servers all week, so I was fine with that.
Deanne and I had soft plans for a 40-mile ride on Sunday morning, but that got axed and I ended up spending a fun morning at Boulderdash with Timbo.
I'm really happy with my climbing lately. My footwork is improving, and the endurance training I've been doing is really paying off. I'm smooth all the way up burly climbs, and I'm finally getting to a point where hanging on one arm while dipping for chalk with the other actually gives me a chance to catch my breath. Time to think about leading.
Spent the afternoon at home doing housework and reading, and enjoying the unexpected rain. (Good thing D and I didn't ride!)
This week: I test ride bikes, and get back on my workout schedule, which has been a little out of whack since before the Yosemite trip.
