Training Log: Krav Maga, Hangboard

Finally got back to Krav last night after missing three weeks to sickness and recovery. Followed up with a quick hangboard workout when I got home, then lots of stretching.

The good news is that my conditioning is much improved. The opening warmup of jumping jacks, crunches, push-ups, and shoulder/knee tag gave me a workout, but didn't kill me like it used to.

The bad news is that I suck, and I have the bruises to prove it. We were practicing defense against a choke from the front, and instead of bringing my front kick up between my partner's legs, I just tagged him on the knee. He was totally fine, but the top of my foot has been pretty sore. I iced it last night, but I've still got a knot.

I've got to get to class more consistently if I'm going to be any good at all.

And, I'm starting to think that once the year is up, I'll drop Krav for Jiu Jitsu. Just something in the back of my head. We'll see.
