Bush Reneges on Surveillance Agreement

Remember how the Bush administration was caught spying on Americans without any kind of judicial oversight, and how they persuaded everyone to put down the torches and pitchforks by promising that they would (cross their hearts) play by the rules of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act from now on?

Yeah, well. They crossed their fingers. Now they're back to saying they can do whatever they want 'cuz it says so right there in Article II of the Constitution of the U.S. of A.

What most infuriates me about the Bush II administration is that everyone knew back in January that this was going to happen. We knew we couldn't trust that treacherous little freak. But we go on treating him like an adult anyway. We trust his word, and give him the benefit of the doubt.

But W is not an adult. He's a child. He hasn't shown the capacity to keep his word, tell the truth, or share. It's time to smack him down hard. Mr. Bush, you play by the same rules as everyone else, or you go to jail, like everyone else.
