Started messing about with the design of the sight again, and came up with this. Not too pretty. But then, I'm not a web designer. I just don't have the patience to deal with something you can't write automated tests for. Broken JavaScript? Gotta manually test it in 4 different browsers. CSS? This article at Position is Everything is extremely informative, and if you're forced (or paid) to worry about pixel-perfect layouts and IE workarounds, is great. But to me it just points out the larger problem: even after all these years, cross-browser compatibility continues to be an issue. WTF? Can't we get a bug-free rendering engine already? Can't we lean on MS to get these things fixed? Why are we forced to commit design attrocities in the name of just getting text to fall where it ought to?

I'm done ranting. Promise.
