Shorts AND gaiters? hehehe It's one of those odd times when Comfort and Function both gang up and beat the crap outta Style and Fashion. Fashion can kinda fight, but it's more of an intimidation thing with Fashion. And Style... well, Style is just a pussy. I tip my hat to you, sir!

Yeah, we all thought the gaiters were pretty nerdy at first. But for off-trail travel and generally keeping crap out of your boots, they're pretty damn great. We were all converts after the first couple of days. Still, when I got this photo and realized that raising my arms raised my jacket *and* my shorts, and that I'd have to admit to the world that I was wearing gaiters... well, it was a tough decision to post it. Still, it's a good memory.
