Just a quick note to say Merry Christmas, everyone! I left my camera at home this year, so I don't have any pictures, but my parents' eight-foot tree was warm and glowing, and everyone went a little crazy with the gifts.

And here's a little prayer that's been on my mind lately. It's always been a favorite, and I was reminded of it by a scene in Deadwood.

Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort than to be comforted; To understand than to be understood; To love than to be loved. For it is by self-forgetting that one finds. It is by forgiving that one is forgiven.
