Evidently the Gizmodo crew got their hands on a few TV-B-Gones and worked a little mischief at CES. Now, I initially had the same reaction as JWZ: "Oh hell yes."

But watching the video, it's pretty clear that they took it too far when they messed with live presenters. Maybe the TV-B-Gone's primary feature is to temporarily turn the user into an asshole.

There's fine line between being annoyingly funny and a complete jackass. It's probably cute the first time, but some of these presenters were getting harassed. Working a show like this is tough enough, no need for a dick in the crowd to add to the difficulties of putting on a good presentation.

In Gizmodo's defense, they did say "sorry" in their post (linked above), but still-- I'm with you. If I were one of the presenters they messed with, I'd be mad as hell.
