Obstacles to Making the Sale
Amusing post by Eric Sink, who just wanted to know what the pricing was for a piece of software. The website didn't list any prices, and when he filled in their little "contact us" form asking for pricing, he got an email reply asking for a phone number where a sales person could reach him.
Bottom line: I'm interested in buying your product. The only obstacle in my way is YOU. If your product didn't have such a great reputation, I would give up right now.
When a customer comes looking for your product, that's a gift. Don't think about marginal profit. Don't think about anything. Just get the hell out of the way and let them hand over their money.
