I spend a great deal of time playing Dungeons & Dragons as a kid and through college. So I'm sad to hear of the passing of Gary Gygax, creater of D&D and dozens of other role playing games.

Thanks for all the fun, Mr. Gygax.

Just a quick update: A friend asked last night how much D&D I played in college. The truth is that my closest friends from college and I first met, and then bonded over games of D&D and other role playing games. None of that would have happened if it weren't for Gary. I'm sure my friends and I would have bonded over games of cribbage or something else if there were no D&D. But D&D it was, and I'm incredibly grateful to Gary for making that possible.
