I look away for three seconds, and someone drops a bunch of really vile spam into my blog. Ick.
I've cleaned it out, and Akismet is still catching the vast majority of spam coming in, but this just isn't the weekend I want to have to manually police comment postings here.
I'll look at other spam filters next week. But for now, the only way to make sure my blog stays "family friendly" is to temporarily disable new comments. They'll be back, I promise. But for now, it's a beautiful Memorial Day weekend, and you should all be outside!
