If you enjoy police drama, and haven't seen HBO's The Wire, just go sit in the corner for a while and think about what you've done.
I watched the series finale last night, and was floored. All the juggled balls came down right where they needed to. And in the end, they treated McNulty right. Gave him the send-off he deserved.
The last montage, slowly drifting back from all the characters as they go on their way... heartbreaking. Beautiful stuff. It's so rare that a great series gets a great ending, and goes to it with the drive that made the series great to begin with.
I send deep thanks to the cast and crew of The Wire for giving us fans an ending. Thanks for giving McNulty that send-off. And thanks for forgiving Kima. "Natural po-lice" indeed.
