uWink
My girlfriend and I had dinner last night at uWink, a novelty restaurant with touchscreens on the tables that let your order food and play games.
It was interesting as a novelty, but I don't think we'll be back. The touchscreens were hard to use, the menu difficult to navigate ("How do I get lettuce and tomatoes on my burger?"), and the games... lame. Viewing and paying the tab using a coupon required the assistance of our waitress.
It sounds like fun: sit at the table with your friends and play goofy games, and order drinks and food without having to wait for a waiter. In practice, I'm not sure that video games and automation are what make a good restaurant or bar.
