Apple sells 10M iPhones
Daring Fireball points to an awesome list of iPhone pundits that look pretty foolish in retrospect.
I've been listening to Seth Godin's book Tribes on my iPod, and the success of the iPhone comes more and more into focus, and seems more and more inevitable. Sure, hindsight is 20/20, but it's really interesting to see how Godin's marketing ideas jibe with how Jobs and Apple run their show.
And that explains why so many observers don't grok what's going on between Apple and Jobs and their fans. Because the observers are used to looking at, talking about, and measuring customers, not fans. Jobs is taking the 1000 True Fans idea and scaling it up to fuel a company.
