The sound stage built for HBO series The Wire (which I've been watching again lately) still exists, evidently, and a Live Journal user got access and took a few photos. Not as glamorous as you might think, but still pretty cool.

I'm not one for all the "wow, this is the desk where McNulty was sitting when Kima told him..." stuff. Mostly, I'm just in awe of how convincingly the crew of The Wire created a sense of place for each location. After looking at the interior shots, I was startled to see the exterior of the stage itself, with the whole thing on risers.
