In the final stages of moving prep. Nearly all my possessions are now in boxes, and this weekend, all those boxes will be piled up and carted across town to the new digs, which I'm really excited about.

In the next couple of days, I'll move my bikes, computers, tuba and guitar to my parents' house for safekeeping. Any level of risk to those items, no matter how remote, is unacceptable.

In the meantime, my girlfriend has gotten me addicted to the super-glossy pop of the VH1 top 20 list, so I'm sitting here considering getting Britney Spears's latest single, along with Lady Gaga and a few Justin Timberlake tracks. It's a far, far cry from my old Pearl Jam, STP & Indigo Girls mix.

Getting out on my bike is working for me. Riding more often means I tire of my "usual routes" faster, which means I'm exploring more territory and having more fun. I'm now totally enamored of the Rosewood/Space Mountain loop in T.O. (For a true leg-shredding sufferfest you still have to head up Rocky Peak Fire Rd., though.)

I had worried that I'd put on weight after quitting Krav, but I haven't. I'm down a pound or two and getting leaner. So the biking is doing me good there too.

And finally, my girl and I had a chance to check out the new Muvico movie theater in T.O. Food and picture quality were both fantastic. But the experience was hampered by somewhat shaky service and a bottleneck at the candy counter. Arclight might not have the glossy new theater, but they still come out way ahead.

And that's the news for now. I'm hoping to get pics and a map of my last bike ride posted in the next day or two. We'll see.
