Um, yeah. That's a bug.
Trying to update my iPhone to iOS 4.0. So I click update. And I get a message that my iTunes version is up to date. So, I'm kind of at a loss. How to do I get to iOS version 4.0 if iTunes is checking the wrong thing?
Update:
Turns out that 9.1.1 is not the latest version of iTunes either. So this button is totally wrong. It's wrong because it should be updating my iPhone's OS, not iTunes, and it's wrong because 9.1.1 is not the latest version of iTunes.
A little Googling turned up a forum post that addressed all this. The fix is to download and install iTunes 9.2 manually, and then upgrade my iPhone's OS.
Unfortunately, my phone absolutely must work correctly today, so I'm holding off on upgrading until at least tonight.
