Weekly Weigh-In 7/18/2005
July 18: 192 186.5 lbs.
Oooh boy. I seriously hope that's muscle from all the climbing...
[Update] I checked out Consumer Reports, and bought a scale on the way home. It's supposed to be fairly good for body weight, but great for body fat calculation. After getting it home and stepping on, I have a more credible weight (shown above), as well as an aproximate idea of where my body fat percentage is: 19%. That, I believe. So getting back down to where I was a couple years ago (12% body fat) should put me at about 170 lbs or so, which is fine with me. I'll be running easier, and climbing stronger.
So all cookies, ice cream, and sundry sweets are now banished from the house. I'll be sleeping well each night, and taking the train to work, so that I can get in an hour of walking a day as I walk from the train station to work and back again. 15 lbs should take about 4 months if I stick to it, which will put me perfectly on schedule to run in March. I've got all the time in the world. Now, if I can just be patient...
