DMGClimbing Comp
The Boulderdash climbing gym is hosting the USAC Sport Climbing Comp tomorrow!
While I'm not sure about the sanity of introducing competition to an essentially cooperative sport, I'm excited for two reasons:
- Competitions are a great chance to see amazing climbers.
- Nearly all the routes in the gym have been torn down and will be replaced with newer, better climbs!
Throw in the weekly bouldering clinic, and Boulderdash is really something special.
The guys there are doing amazing work getting great routesetters, teachers, and events into their gym. More and more, Boulderdash reminds me of the best aspects of my time in music school: great students, great teachers, and incredible motivation to learn and grow.
