I'm also enjoying my iPhone experience. I find that the auto-correct feature does learn, just give it some time to do so. Other than that, I have a long way to go with regard to any proficiency in typing in long responses or emails. Live and learn.

I find that the autocorrect does get better, and that I'm learning to use it as part of my typing. I'm getting faster, and getting fewer typos. Very nice. Not the kind of thing I'd want to type a long letter in, but certainly perfect for on-the-go connectivity.
I'm going to have to do a blog about favorite apps from the App Store; there are some great ones.
So far, the biggest frustrations have been lack of cut and paste (how do I grab a URL and shove it into twitter or delicious?), and receiving MMS messages. Having to write down a "message ID" and a password, then hit a link, then type in the message ID and password again... WTF? Then again, that's the peril of high achievement: the iPhone is good enough to get caught in being compared to a desktop computer, rather than to other phones or PDAs.
The Maps application is KILLER, and everything else is just fantastic. By far the best PDA or phone I've ever used.

My old phone is on the couch, complaining pitifully of a low battery... so sad.
