Hiking with Henri has been really great. Over the years, my trail exploration has lead from hiking short trails, to hiking long trails, to biking very long trails. But Henri is small, and tires out after about an hour (less, if it's hot), so hiking with her has given me a chance to explore some of the shorter trails closer to home.

The Westlake Vista Trail leads from the corner of Lindero Cyn and Trunfo Cyn roads up to the reservoir. You're never more than a quarter mile from houses and roads, but walking up through the canyon, you'd never know it. Can't wait to go back.
