Took a spin through some trails I hadn't yet explored. I was hoping there might be a way to cut through the neighborhood north of the Canyon View Trail to Madera. Unfortunately, the horse trail dead-ended at a drainage area that was barely passable even on foot. I'll have to find another way to connect Albertson to Mt. McCoy.

Still, it was fun to get out and just wander.

Gear Notes

Pedals: I swapped out my egg beater pedals for Shimanos as an experiment. The Shimanos did have trouble with accidental unclipping, and enforce a narrower range of motion. It was also (unsurprisingly) more difficult to clip in. So, it looks like I'm going to stick with the Eggbeaters.

Brakes: I replaced the rear rotor and brake pads on Tuesday night, and that seems to have fixed the horrible screeching coming from the rear brake.
