Last week's ride in Cheesebro Canyon was so good that I just had to start this week off with another. As promised, I took my camera this time, and got some (I hope) beautiful shots of why I love California.

After yesterday's stairmaster session, there wasn't a whole lot of juice left in my legs, so I concentrated more on picking smooth lines and sticking technical ascents. The canyon trail out to Shepherd's flat is perfect for this: there's on short hill I can get no problem, one that I think I'll get next time, and a third that I'll have to work for a while before I can get up smoothly. And the various stream crossings and rock gardens keep things interesting.
